A Personal Statement:
"Many people contact me because they have anxieties and fears that are causing them great difficulties in their lives. A number are referred by their doctors or people who I have previously helped. In all cases they are looking for someone to help them NOW, to be sympathetic, to listen and to offer support and understanding whilst they go through this particular stage of their life.
A client, no matter what their particular problem, is a person who is entitled to a happy and contented life. Past problems, habits, traumas, should not be allowed to affect the right of any human being to live their life to the full. What is past should not bind their life now or in the future. Of course, it does, and that is where I try to intervene - by showing them that they DO have a future. That although they cannot change the past, they CAN change the way they look on the past and learn how to cope with it differently. I call this technique 'alternative cognition' and by using this, clients can progress quickly to a more contented and fulfilling existence. (Read my published article on this subject)
Over the past few years GPs have referred more people to me who are suffering from psychosomatic illnesses – physical disorders in which both emotions and thought patterns are believed to play a central role. Stress and anxiety will often make them worse. Psychosomatic illnesses are not imaginary and need to be diagnosed and treated early.
The techniques used in my practice are gentle and effective. Of course the client has to do a lot of the work as well. Nobody has a magic bullet. But with the right encouragement, empathy and understanding, it is possible to bring them back to a state of being where they are once again able to cope more as a normal person than one who is in a state of complete chaos and distress.
Unfortunately hypnotherapy has to be paid for - it doesn't come on the National Health. However, as a client told me the other day, 'I looked upon your fees as an investment in my future and now you've given me just that.... a future!' You have a right to live a full and enriching life."

Making the decision to seek help or engage in therapy is not always easy. It is important to find someone who listens to you, and whom you feel you can trust. Training, skill, and experience is important, but so is the willingness to engage with you as a person.
I believe that we all have patterns of thinking, reacting and behaving that are not always in our best interests. Equally, we have inner resources and strengths, of which we are sometimes not aware. Therapy should not only improve the problem, but also teach skills for tackling future problems.
Most of my work is short-term, designed to achieve long-lasting results in the minimum time, using therapies that are proven to be effective. Our past experiences cannot be altered, only how we cope with them.
Hypnosis is a sensible, elegant tool for creating change in our everyday lives. With hypnotherapy, we can effectively support and resolve a great number of life's challenges. Hypnosis can help us have happier lives by building and maintaining strength, self-confidence, substance and dignity.
These days, it makes sense to be frugal with our resources and my clients achieve their goals quickly and gracefully with help from their powerful subconscious minds.
Hypnotherapy is an efficient therapeutic tool for people who have problems such as anxiety, panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, insomnia, IBS, fears and phobias. It is able to assist those who wish to stop smoking or reduce weight, have eating disorders and for many emotional states of the mind or psychosomatic problems. It becomes even more powerful when combined with my Relaxed-Awareness and Awake Hypnosis techniques.
Hypnotherapy can be utilized for significantly reducing anxiety during a peri-operative period. For example pain management can be incorporated post operatively for medical and dental procedures, enhancing mental health and well-being, and increasing the healing process more rapidly.
Hypnotherapy allows a client to create and achieve therapeutic change, so that a good outcome can be accomplished.
Hypnosis is very safe and used by many health care professionals such as doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists and dental surgeons throughout the world on a daily basis.
Everyone has the ability to think and feel differently, and to be able to heal themselves with the assistance of hypnotherapy. You are an individual in your own right and you deserve to live a happy and a satisfying life.
People who undergo hypnosis in a therapeutic setting are often amazed at the results they achieve, they find it relaxing, are always in control, and feel really good afterwards.
Ask yourself these questions:
Are You Stressed?
Stress can cause headaches, jaw pain, muscle aches and pains, back pain and the grinding of teeth. It may be responsible for migraine headaches, dizziness, and difficulty in breathing, heartburn, nausea, rapid heartbeat, chest pain, diarrhoea or constipation.
Are you frustrated?
Perhaps you have experienced the frustration of unsuccessfully trying to deal with stress or anxiety, or perhaps you have the constant frustration of trying to change negative thoughts and self doubts, to stop procrastinating, to lose weight, or stop smoking or other phobias and fears and so on.
Do you feel hopeless?
You may have talked about your problems for years. Maybe these worries and concerns have been around for a very long time and that you have spent a great amount of effort looking for solutions to your anxiety and depression, or perhaps you have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Or perhaps you have experienced a recent event that has thrown you off course so much that you feel overwhelmed, stuck, hopeless and powerless to make those changes in your life that you so deeply desire.
Do you want to get more out of life of what you want?
Positive change is possible, be it happiness, self esteem and confidence, or just to have more energy to get that "spark" back into your life or even to just get a good night’s sleep?
Sometimes you may want to be at peace with your past, or live more fully in the present, getting that motivation happening to be eager to take action to create that compelling future.
Maybe, it's important to feel that your life has meaning and that you want some control over it, or perhaps you think it is time "now" for you to take responsibility for your feelings and choices because this is your life.
