Recently, the brain injury charity Headway (Jersey Branch) has been funding the use of hypnosis with a selected number of their members for the control of pain, memory loss and in the encouragement of lost limb movement.
The neuroplasticity of the brain offers the possibility of development of new neural pathways within the brain thereby enabling victims to re-learn many of their lost functions.
By using hypnosis, together with physical practice, the aim is to bring new hope and permanent results to those who have suffered from this devasting condition.
The programme that I have devised can also be used by brain and stroke injury victims outside of the island. If you are interested, please contact me for further details.
My 'Making New Pathways' CD can be used in conjunction with a structured programme or as a stand alone item for individual use. In this CD I attempt to explain the principles I'm working to and the aims I am hoping to achieve. This is an exercise CD which should be used daily and contains periods of silence where the survivor is encouraged to visualise the particular action they wish to achieve.
My CD's have been sold across the world and with each one there is the offer of further continuous contact with me in my aim to assist in a successful outcome to your current problem.
