Client Survey

'How good are your results?' is a question I'm often asked. How do you measure this? My aim is to bring the client to a point where they feel they have no further need for my services. When that time comes, and it can be after two sessions, or after ten, it is the client who decides when they are once again in a state where they can cope by themselves without further assistance from me.

But that is still not really satisfactory as far as I am concerned so I have devised a simple rating system for my own practice which I call 'CUPS' - Client's Units of Progress and Success. In this system the client is asked five questions and I have listed below their averaged responses based on a scale of 0-10 (0 is no progress and 10 is considerable progress/satisfaction) over the past six months. Future results will be shown as each survey is completed.

Results covering the following periods showed:   1/10/2008 - 31/3/2009  1/4/2008 - 30/9/2008

  1. Client's progress made since last session - 8.85 8.8

   2. Client's progress made since first session -   8.95 8.9

   3. Client's satisfaction with this progress? - 9.25 9.22

   4. Amount of effort the CLIENT has put in - 8.00 7.9

   5. Progress/cost (i.e. Value for Money) - 8.74 8.6

Is this being successful? Perhaps. But there is always room for improvement and my aim is to ensure, to the best of my ability, that all clients reach that point where my services are no longer required using the minimum number of sessions and at minimum cost to themselves.
